I just returned from posting a contract back to Amber Quill Press. The contract was for a novella called ANOTHER SECRET, part of one of their PAX collections, this one entitled, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID – which I think is kinda self-explanatory. The thing with PAX collections is that the publisher throws out the idea but the authors who pick up can take it in any direction they like, and that can result in some very interesting – and wide ranging – collections. I’m not sure when this PAX will be out but it’ll probably be around summer. I’ll post when I know more.

Just a head’s up that I have just signed a Contract with MLR Press for a short story as part of their Valentine’s Day releases. The story is called HOME FOR VALENTINE’S and is a sequel to the novella EXCHANGE OF GIFTS, which was a Christmas story released in 2010. I’ll post more information when it’s available.

I just sent back a new contract to Amber Quill Press for a fantasy novel – and it never gets old! This will be my seventh novel – and I can hardly believe that either! – and I’m as excited as when I sold my first novel back in 2007.
It’s called More Than Chains To Bind, an historical fantasy involving kidnapping and slavery, and it is slated for release towards the end of June.

Just posted back a second new contract to Amber Quill Press, with a third one due shortly. The original story that I submitted last year has now become a series of futuristic novellas. This year has really got off to an exciting start – hope the rest of the year lives up to it!

Yep, I just signed and mailed a new contract. Not only that but it’s with a new publisher, Amber Allure. When I got the invite to submit something to them I was really pleased, but it came at a time when I already had quite a few commitments so I had to put it on the back burner, luckily they agreed to wait until I had something to submit. Finally, I was able to send them a story which they liked enough to accept. The long awaited contract arrived today and – after reading through it carefully – I happily signed it! My book with Amber Allure is due out late March and I’m really looking forward to working with them, having heard such good things about them.
Good start to the New Year!

Yep, two new acceptances, just waiting for the contracts to arrive in the post 🙂
It never gets old, that rush of excitement when a work is accepted for publication!
The first submission was a Sip, a short story line at Torquere Press, a contemporary tale of one man taking a leap of faith, hoping his friend will be there to catch him.
The second submission is a novella, set in a fantasy alternative world, which tells the story of a son, Willem, who goes searching for his missing father, a famous explorer, accompanied only by a man estranged from his father years earlier. Willem has more to learn than the whereabouts of his father.
I have no idea at all yet about publication dates etc. I will update as and when I learn more.

I was very pleased when ManLoveRomance Press recently offered me a contract for my submission to their m/m Anthology, AMONG THE LIVING, be published later in the year. I don’t have a precise release date yet, I’ll post more about that when I know details.
As soon as I heard about this anthology of m/m ghost stories I had a plot bunny yapping at my heels and I found myself very eager to be included.
My contribution, DEATH’S DESIRE, is an historical tale set partly late in the 18th century and partly early in the 17th century and I really enjoyed letting my imagination have free rein.

I signed a contract today for the publication of my second novel, Beyond the Veil. This time it is with a different publisher. It won’t be released until next summer (but some publishers are even reading for 2009!).
It’s a really good feeling!
